Important changes to the SMS service
To make HYDROS a more sustainable service, we will discontinue the SMS notifications starting October 1, 2021.
Change in SMS Access
The HYDROS app will NO LONGER support sending SMS notifications.
Transitioning to Mobile “Push” Notifications
The HYDROS app will now replace SMS notifications with push notifications. The benefits or “Push” notifications over SMS include:
- Less intrusive
- Any mobile device can receive push notifications as long as you install the HYDROS app. The app need not be open to work.
- There are no carrier charges for push notifications.
- Push notifications are not limited to customers with a US-based phone number.
- You have more control over how you want to receive and view a push notification.
