Connect the ORP Probe BNC connector to one of the Probe Ports (Light Blue) on the HYDROS device.
Remove the ORP Probe storage container and securely place the probe in your aquarium water.
Step 2: Create the ORP Probe Input
From the STATUS screen, tap on the three horizontal dots to the right of the INPUTS label.
Select “Add New Input”
Tap on the + symbol in the bottom-right corner
Enter the name you wish to assign to your input and tap “Create.”
Step 3: Configure the ORP Probe Input
Type: Probe Port
Probe Mode: Select ORP
Probe Port: Select the port number where you physically connected the ORP probe.
Safe Range: You can use this feature to establish a secure range by specifying the minimum and maximum values. If the reading exceeds this range, HYDROS will inform you through notifications, which you can enable.
Graph Value Limits: You can set the minimum and maximum values that appear on the Graphs view.
Offset: If the ORP reading is slightly off after completing a full probe calibration, you can use this option to make minor corrections. Keep in mind that the maximum offset allowed is ±25mV. If the discrepancy exceeds this range, it’s best to recalibrate or replace the probe.
TIP: If you are using a new probe, it can take up to a week for the probe to settle down. We recommend using the offset option only if the probe is not reading correctly after a full week.
Notification Level: This option allows you to tell the HYDROS what to do when the reading is outside the safe range. You will receive notifications when:
ORP is below Safe Range Low
ORP is above Safe Rage High
Control has lost connection to the probe
Is Invisible: If you choose to hide the input from the status screen, it will only become visible on pages that have “Show Invisible” selected.
Step 4: Upload the Changes
After configuring the input, tap the yellow bar at the bottom to upload your changes to the cloud and each HYDROS device.
Rename Input & Change Icon
From the STATUS screen, tap on the Input you wish to modify.
On the popup, tap on the “Gear” icon on the bottom right.
From the Input setup page, tap on the “Pencil” icon on the top left.
Type in the new name you wish
If you wish to change the default icon, please tap on “Change Icon.”
