Add Alert Output
A type of output called an Alarm Output will trigger when any other output with a matching alarm is activated. To illustrate, if you set up a “Red” level Alert output, it will activate whenever any other output has a Red alert. Moreover, if the alarm produces sound, turning off the Alert output will also silence the audible alarm.
Step 1: Create an Alert Output
- From the STATUS screen on your HYDROS app, top on the three horizontal dots to the right of the OUTPUTS label and select “Add New Output.”
- Tap on the + symbol at the bottom right of the page
- Type in the name of your new output and then tap “Create.”
Step 2: Configure your Alert Output
- Type: Select “Alert”
- Alert Level: Here, you can specify which alert level will activate this output.
- Output Device: If desired, turn on an outlet (WiFi, XP8, or Drive Port) or send a desired 0-10V voltage. Select the output device location here.
- Power Safe Range: You can set a specific power usage range that is considered “acceptable.” In case the power consumption falls outside this range, you will receive a notification if you have selected it.
WARNING: This option is NOT available if the “Output Device” is assigned to an outlet that cannot monitor power, such as a WiFi Strip outlet.
- Power Notification Level: You can choose the notification level that will activate when the power consumption goes beyond the “Power Safe Range.”
WARNING: This option is NOT available if the “Output Device” is assigned to an outlet that cannot monitor power, such as a WiFi Strip outlet.
- Is Invisible: If you choose to hide the input from the status screen, it will only become visible on pages that have “Show Invisible” selected.
