The HYDROS Slim Temperature Sensor is a waterproof IP68-rated sensor that is 1.6” long and 0.32” wide. Each Sensor plugs directly into a Sense Port on a HYDROS Controller. Each HYDROS Temperature Sensor has a GX12 aviation-style connector that securely plugs into any HYDROS device with an available Sense Port and DOES NOT require any additional power source to operate.

The HYDROS Slim Temperature Sensor is a durable and reliable device that is designed to monitor temperature with ease. Measuring only 1.6” in length and 0.32” in width, it boasts an all-black solid waterproof IP68-rated construction that ensures years of service. With its “set it and forget it” feature, the temperature monitor requires no calibration or maintenance except for cleaning occasionally. The HYDROS Slim Temperature Sensor is included in the Control Starter Kits. If you ever need a replacement or want to add another temperature sensor to your system, you can do so easily and affordably.
With a lengthy 79” cord and a GX12 aviation-style connector, the Slim Temperature Sensor can be plugged into any Sense Port on the Control XS, Control X2, Control X3, Control x4, and future HYDROS devices. Multiple temperature sensors can be used in your system for safety and redundancy. For instance, you can put one in your display aquarium and another in your sump. This is particularly helpful if your sump is in the basement while the display tank is on another floor. The Slim Temperature Sensor is fully submersible, so it can be placed discreetly, such as in the back of an all-in-one aquarium, in the overflow, or tucked away in one of the chambers of your sump.
You can configure the HYDROS app so that if the water temperature is higher than 82°F or lower than 78°F (for example), it can send you a mobile alert to let you know. You can also set it up so that outlets that have a heater, chiller, or fan plugged into them turn off when the temperature is outside the safe zone. Your heating and cooling equipment must be plugged into a HYDROS power source, like the HYDROS Power Strip or Smart Plug, for this sort of automation to occur.
