HYDROS makes it simple to replace a collective device with a new one using the same model. Furthermore, it will transfer all settings from the old HYDROS device to the new one, saving you the time and trouble of reprogramming it!
To use a HYDROS device as a replacement, you first must connect it to your WiFi and register it. Then, you must connect to the device and successfully access and view the STATUS screen.
You can follow these instructions to connect the device and register it to the cloud.
Physically connect the device to your new collective using the command bus port. Remember to power down your collective if you connect new devices through the port, as this will prevent damage to the command bus.
Do NOT disconnect the old device from the collective YET!
Do NOT add the new device to the collective via the HYDROS app.
Transfer all the sensors, drive ports, outputs, and inputs from the old device to the new one. Be sure to connect them to the exact location.
Now, you can physically disconnect the old device from your collective. As an added step, we recommend resetting the device to ensure it’s clean. Follow these instructions to reset your HYDROS device.
If you want to transfer the new device to a different email address or a new owner, you must unregister the device and remove it from your account first. Failure to do so will prevent the new owner from registering the device successfully.
