A water change often requires all flow pumps to be turned off. Since a Mode without triggers assigned to it will cause the pumps to turn OFF completely, all we need to do is create an “empty” mode.
A Water Change mode comes preconfigured with your WaveEngine but if you need to recreate it, here is how to do it:
Step 1: Create Water Change Mode
- Go to the Main Menu and select MODES.
- Tap on the + symbol on the bottom right and create a new mode called “Water Change.”
Step 2: Configure Water Change Mode
- INPUT VOLTAGE – Leave the voltage at a negative one (-1).
TIP: If activating via 0-10v Input (MODE CONTROL INPUT enabled), set the voltage number to match the one incoming from your 3rd party controller. - MODE TIMEOUT – Set it to 00:00:00, so it runs until manually disabled.
- EXIT DELAY – Set this to 2 minutes to allow the return pump to fill the tank back up before the flow pumps turn back ON.
- LED COLOR – Set it to your personal preference.
Don’t forget to save your changes!
Step 3: Activate Water Change Mode
- Go to the Status Screen and tap on the Mode at the top. You will be able to select Water Change Mode from the list.
