Add Alkalinity (iV Tester) Input

Adding an Alkalinity Input after configuring the iV Test Output is very simple.

TIP: When configuring your iV Tester Output [1], this input is automatically generated and added to your status screen. If you need to recreate it manually, follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Configure the iV Output

  1. Before adding the Alkalinity Input, you must install and configure an iV Tester Output [1].

Step 2: Create the Alkalinity Input

  1. From the STATUS screen, tap the three horizontal dots to the right of the INPUTS label.
  2. Select “Add New Input”
  3. Tap on the + symbol in the bottom-right corner
  4. Enter the name you wish to assign to your input and tap “Create.”

Step 3: Configure the Input

Step 4: Upload Changes

Once you have configured your INPUT, tap on the yellow bar at the bottom of the screen to upload your changes to the cloud and the individual HYDROS devices.

WARNING: UNKNOWN Status

Before running your first manual or scheduled test, the Alkalinity input will display an “Unknown” status.

Incorrect Reading

If you notice a discrepancy in the reading, you can use the “Offset” feature above to make small adjustments. Keep in mind that the maximum offset allowed is ±2.0. If the discrepancy exceeds this range, it’s best to recalibrate the dosing pumps [2] and pH probe [3].
